Joaquín Gavilano is a Bolivian translator, writer, and a former editor at The Arkansas International. He currently attends the University of Arkansas’s MFA program in Creative Writing and Translation and has been the recipient of a PEN/Heim Translation fund grant, a Mid-America Arts Alliance grant, the Carolyn F. Walton Cole Fellowship in Translation, and the Walton Family and Carolyn F. Walton Cole Fellowship in Translation. His work has been published in Modern Poetry in Translation, Two Lines Press, and Latin American Literature Today, among others.
